VILLARREAL

Villarreal Residence | Tampa Kitchen and Bath Renovation

The Villarreal residence is a Tampa kitchen and primary suite renovation that plays crisp black and white against warm wood and brass. The kitchen sets the tone: black glass-front upper cabinets with brass pulls sit above white shaker bases, a full-height marble slab backsplash runs behind the range, and a black island with white upholstered stools is lit by tapered white pendants under a planked ceiling. A built-in china cabinet in the dinette repeats the black and brass detailing so the two rooms read as one.

The powder room commits to drama with black herringbone tile and unlacquered brass fittings, while a carved wood door and sculptural black candlesticks mark the transition into the primary suite.

The primary bath is the calm counterpoint. White oak vanities with a seated makeup station are topped in veined marble, framed by slim black mirrors and brass sconces, and the shower runs the same marble in large-format tile behind an arched glass door with a brass hand shower.

The result is a renovation that feels tailored and graphic without ever going cold, which is what a good black and white palette should do.
