Richardson Residence | Tampa Coastal Home Renovation

The Richardson residence is a light, coastal Tampa home renovation built on white walls, pale wood floors and natural texture. Rattan, cane and woven fibers carry the warmth so the palette can stay almost entirely white, and the house reads bright and relaxed from the front door to the powder room.

The living room layers white slipcovered sofas and a woven pendant against a white brick fireplace, with soft blue and blush abstract art providing the only real color. A sunroom lined with built-in shelving and French doors is furnished with a pair of peacock rattan chairs and blue and white ceramics, which is where the coastal note is strongest.

The home office sits in a bay window with a white desk, a cane chair and a patterned rug, and floating wood shelves nearby hold a curated mix of books, ceramics and family photos. In the powder room, blue palm-leaf wallpaper wraps the walls behind a marble-topped vanity, polished nickel fittings and a rattan-framed mirror, giving a small room a big personality.

The result is a family home that feels like a permanent vacation without ever tipping into theme.
