Avila Residence | Tampa Home Renovation

Set in Tampa's Avila community, this residence was reworked room by room to feel lighter and more connected while keeping the formality the architecture asks for. A curved staircase and pale stone flooring set the tone in the two-story entry.

The formal dining room pairs crystal chandeliers and plantation shutters with a long wood trestle table and wainscoted walls, striking a balance between dressed and livable. In the kitchen, creamy cabinetry and stone counters surround a warm wood-topped island, with lantern and glass pendants carrying the transitional style through to the adjoining breakfast area.

The main living spaces layer coffered and tray ceilings with soft neutrals, blue patterned rugs and a stacked stone fireplace, so a large open plan still reads calm and cohesive. A billiards room finished with an oversized iron chandelier gives the family a more relaxed place to gather, and sightlines to the pool and lanai pull Florida light deep into the back of the house.
